Hunter Hampton was raised in Houston, Texas and graduated from Chico State. Soon after graduating from college Hunter passed the California State Exam getting his real estate license in 1996. Hunter was nominated by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butte County as "Big Professional" for his contributions and efforts within his community. With over 15 years sales and marketing experience, Hunter has worked for CBS, Fox, ABC, and Google’s largest partner, Reach Local. With a reputation as the top salesman at every level Hunter has now teamed up with his father’s real estate brokerage firm, Great Homes and Chico Real Estate to bring his marketing expertise to the company. He has been a North State resident for over 20 years and has purchased and sold homes in Chico and Redding.
When not working, Hunter enjoys coaching his two children in softball and baseball and is a self-proclaimed professional monopoly player.
Born in El Paso, Texas and raised in a military family gave Tom the chance to travel and see the world at an early age giving him a great education of people that has been a tremendous help in his business ventures. Dealing with people from so many backgrounds and so many countries was the benefit of such travels. His early education was in Europe, mostly in France and Italy. He attended High school in Montgomery, Alabama and later received his BA from the University of Mississippi. Upon graduation, he moved to Dallas, Texas to seek fame and fortune working for Lanier Business Products, a Fortune 500 company. Quickly promoted to the West Coast office in Los Angeles as the assistant sales area manager, he was on the fast track soon to be a customer service & sales trainer.
The birth of his first child brought about a career change, going to work for New York Life in Torrance California where he earned numerous sale awards. Becoming a member of the Star Club and a member of the Million Dollar Round Table specializing in Estate Planning and Business Insurance. After numerous other service and sales awards, Tom made the decision to leave a promising insurance career to sell Real Estate. However, Tom proudly says, "I earned my stripes in Insurance helping people make the right decisions in insurance sales and service."
Tom started selling Real Estate in Los Angeles with Call Realty, soon to become Coldwell Banker, with multiple years of generating between 70 to 90 transactions per year with millions of dollars in homes sales. Upon moving to Northern California, he went to work with Re/Max Real Estate, Century 21, and eventually starting his own company – Great Homes and Chico Real Estate. Tom, a top real estate sales producer and trainer currently has over $175 million in sales. A Chico resident since 1979, his hobbies include motorcycle racing, road bike cycling, hunting dog training and trials, sporting clay shooting, collecting and restoring antique guns and old cars.
